Counseling For Children
When children struggle, so do their parents…
That’s why we use a team approach when working with children. We welcome the input of parents and we know how important your child’s well-being is to you.
The therapeutic approach may include cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, or a combination of both - depending on the needs and age of your child. We can offer you tools and strategies to use at home or school.
Some of the more common children’s issues we work with include:
Anxiety
Family Changes
Depression
ADHD (including inattentive type)
Autism / “Aspergers” (high functioning autism)
Sensory issues
Behavioral issues
Peer / Sibling conflict
Phobias
Emotional Dysregulation (difficulty controlling emotions)
All children face hurdles from time to time, and when those hurdles begin to affect your child’s (or your) day to day life, we are here to help.
